One of the best-preserved ancient cities in the Mediterranean: the Library of Celsus, the Great Theatre, the Terrace Houses and the marble street. Nearby, the House of the Virgin Mary, the Basilica of St. John and the Temple of Artemis — and an evening light show at the library in season.

Pamukkale
White travertine terraces filled with warm mineral water, with the ancient city of Hierapolis — theatre, necropolis and the Cleopatra pool — on the plateau above. Laodicea, one of the Seven Churches, lies twenty minutes away.
