All seven cities addressed in the Book of Revelation lie within a few hours of one another in western Türkiye. Our route follows them in the order of the letters, with time at each site for reading, reflection and unhurried walking.
Guides experienced with faith groups, a pace suited to mixed-age travellers, and quiet spaces arranged in advance for group devotions.
Suggested route
The programme below is our recommended five-day structure. We regularly extend it to seven or eight days to include Patmos, Hierapolis, Aphrodisias or Istanbul.
Group size, hotel category and the balance between sites and free time are all adjustable.

DAY 01
Arrival in İzmir – Smyrna
Overnight in İzmir
Meet and greet at İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport. Depending on arrival times, a first visit to Smyrna — the Agora of ancient İzmir and the Kadifekale hill — followed by check-in and an evening walk along the Kordon.
DAY 02
Pergamon & Thyatira
Overnight in İzmir
Drive north to Pergamon for the Acropolis, the steep theatre and the Asklepion. Continue to Thyatira in Akhisar, where the excavated church quarter sits in the middle of the modern town.
DAY 03
Sardis & Philadelphia
Overnight in Pamukkale
Sardis, capital of Lydia, with its synagogue mosaics and the Temple of Artemis; then Philadelphia in Alaşehir, where the remains of the Byzantine basilica stand among vineyards. Continue to Pamukkale for the night.
DAY 04
Laodicea – Hierapolis – Ephesus
Overnight in Kuşadası or Selçuk
Laodicea, the seventh church, and the travertines and martyrium of Hierapolis. Drive west to Ephesus for the late afternoon: the Great Theatre, the marble street and the Library of Celsus in softening light.
DAY 05
St. John, Virgin Mary – İzmir
End of services
The Basilica of St. John and the House of the Virgin Mary on Bülbül Mountain, with time for a service or quiet reflection. Transfer to İzmir Airport according to flight times.
